Workstation role and effect

Auto Peel Machine upgrades the machine bay from hand-cranked operation to motorized peeling capacity. Once installed, the motorized drum processes hopper loads continuously without requiring you to stand at the handle turning a crank by hand.

Motorized drum capacity pairs with overhead sack delivery and later drum speed boosts to push toward A Thousand Peels (1,000 potatoes by hand or machine), Ten Thousand (10,000 potatoes), The Quota, and Fully Automated.

Cost tier and table position

Auto Peel Machine carries a printed cost of 280 (numeric value 280) at sequence row 5 of 9. It shares that exact 280 price tag with its immediate neighbor at row 6, Sack Gantry, making the 280 tier the mid-game automation plateau inside the bunker.

Moving from the Crank Peel Machine at 20 to the Auto Peel Machine at 280 is the first major price jump in the nine-row upgrade ledger, multiplying the previous step by fourteen.

Shift handling and hotfix notes

In Hotfix 1.0.2, potatoes loaded into machine hoppers remain saved inside the hoppers when you save and reload your shift, so a full motorized bay does not lose its queued load between sessions.

Once your motorized drums are running, the late-game Overclock upgrade at row 9 (1,400 printed cost) doubles the speed of every peeling drum in the bay.
