Potato Please Build 1.0.2

Peeling in Potato Please

Peel by hand at the kitchen counter, keep every slice thin so the skin comes off without wasting flesh, and finish the last spots that automated perks leave behind.

Every shift in Potato Please begins at the indoor peeling station with a hand knife, a bucket, and the water channel running along the board. Even after you expand the workbench or buy drums and cranes, manual peeling remains part of the loop for finishing leftover spots, picking up the key potato, and clearing hand-only achievement milestones.

Shift steps

Work through the counter routine in order so peeled potatoes drop cleanly into the water channel while special items and settings stay under control.

01Counter

Stand at the counter with the knife in hand and the pile in front of you. Peeled potatoes collect in the water tray and move down the channel.

02Thin cut

Keep each cut thin. A thick slice takes flesh with the skin, and the physics peel follows the angle of your blade across the potato.

03Station

Work the mountain down into the bucket. The station sits on the water channel, and Hotfix 1.0.2 speeds up the last two channel tiers so finished potatoes clear the board without late-game slowdowns.

04Muscle Memory

Muscle Memory can still leave the last spots on a potato for your knife. Those final spots require a manual hand peel to finish cleanly.

05Key potato

Lift the key potato yourself when it appears. It stays where it sits until you pick it up by hand, and neither the potato vacuum nor the puppy will take it.

06Camera

Invert Y turns only the camera view. Peeling strokes, letters, and darts still follow normal mouse or stick direction, Hand-shake intensity has its own setting, and Auto Rotate matches its control binding.

07Hard

Hard difficulty uses the Strict peeling rule instead of No Mercy, demanding cleaner thin cuts at the counter.

Counter notes

Hotfix 1.0.1 and Hotfix 1.0.2 adjusted several counter behaviors, including how Muscle Memory describes leftover skin spots, how Invert Y interacts with the knife, and how Hard difficulty grades each cut.

SpotOn the counter
Last spotsKnife finish when Muscle Memory leaves patches on the potato
Key potatoHands only; ignored by both the potato vacuum and the puppy
Puppy outputPotatoes peeled by the puppy do not count as machine output for quests
Master PeelerCompletes with its reward once the quota is done; stuck saves recover on load
Invert YTurns only the camera while peeling, letters, and darts follow the mouse or stick
Hand shakeAdjusted through its own dedicated intensity slider in settings
Auto RotateHotfix 1.0.1 aligned the description with the actual rotation control
HardUses the Strict peeling rule instead of No Mercy
